Conference publicationsLinear and nonlinear relationships in neuronal effects of microwave exposure: interspike intervalsPushchino In rabbit pulse flows of populations of cortical neurons were investigated prior, during, and after 1-min microwave irradiation (wavelength 37.5cm, power density 0.2-40mW/cm2). Shifts as the decrease of mean values of interspike intervals predominated under irradiation if its intensity was below 0.4mW/cm2. Shifts of the opposite direction prevailed under irradiation if its intensity was beyond 0.5mW/cm2. Mathematical model approaches to examination of dependence of values of indices during and after the exposure on the same before the exposure made it possible to discover that the most equivalent description was the linear function whose coefficients were mainly determined by intensity of irradiation. Dependence of neuronal rearrangements upon intensity of irradiation was nonlinear. |
