The study of new trends in the reproductive health of the Russian population at the macro- and microlevels showed its relationship with social needs at different stages of the demographic transition, taking into account the reproductive capabilities of the population, on the one hand, and the realities of the public health system, on the other. With the low birth rate that is characteristic of the present, regulation of the availability of reproductive assistance, infertility treatment, the comfort of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as measures to reduce diseases that lead to subfertility, are of particular importance.
