The reliability of an epidemiological study’s results depends in part upon the quality of data collection procedures and instruments. Online control of project process is an important part of data management, especially in international multicenter studies.

An administrative information system (AIS) has been developed for the control of epidemiological projects. The main function of the AIS is to track the status of each potential study subject. The AIS has two main purposes: first is the online tracking of project process, second is the storage of final disposition data for all potential study subjects, which is part of the common data collected in the study.
