At present time in Russia men’s morbidity and mortality exceed the same induces of women in 1,5-3,0 times, and a gap in lifetime between men and women is 12,6 years. This tendency cannot be explained by experts as conditions of vital function for both sexes are the same. Probably, that is based on genophenotypical heterogeneity of Russian population determinate by sex factor. To understand the mechanism of different stability of men and women the authors studied conditions of vital activities of people of the both sexes in a large industrial center of Siberia – Novosibirsk and the Northern industrial city above the Arctic Circle Norilsk, which is characterized by number of extreme natural factors effecting the city population health. It was found that adaptive changes hormone status and metabolism have in optimal character and are controlled by the functional activity of brains right hemisphere at women and men-lefthander who have more equipotential functional brains organizaton. Adaptive changes of men-righthander had a disadaptive direction. The authors discussed the aspects of prognoses and prophylaxis population health.
