A mechanism of assortative mixing in social networks

This paper describes a mechanism of the emergence of the assortative mixing in social networks due to the network formation from groups. This feature can be used to get more information about a network’s history from its current parameters. The hypothesis is tested using the algorithm with nodes deactivation.
