Introduction. «The further condition of the vegetative world depends on broadening and deepening our knowledge of it. The more we identify, study the features and value of plants, the more profound our love for them will be». Yury Bespalov.

Purpose. Тo research and analyze the species of blossom plants of Pushchino surroundings.

To get knowledge about rare and extincting plants. To improve skills to identify names of various plants in the wild nature. To form ecological culture of young generation, to cultivate responsibility for saving flora of Pushchino surroundings.

To form vocabulary in Russian, English and Latin concerned with plants, to develop skills to make a description of studying objects.

Materials and methods. To study literature about flora of our town and its neighbourhood.

To go to the excursions along Ecological path and town surroundings to find out bloomy flowers. To take pictures of different plants (beautiful, unknown for us, interesting).

To identify plants using RED BOOK of rare and vanished plants of Moscow Region.

To connect with science consultants of Pushchino Museum of Ecology and Regional Ethnography and a leading research scientist Yermolaev A.M. at the laboratory of ecosystems modeling to discuss the results of our ecological researches.

The researches were being held during May – June, 2011.

Results. We have found some blossomed beautiful flowers, some of the plants were included in RED BOOK of rare and vanished plants of Moscow Region and took their photos in their native inhabitance. The categories of plants are: 0 (EW) – extinct in the wild, 1 (CR) – critically endangered (Spreading Bellflower, Water Lily), 2 (EN) – endangered (Heath Dog-violet or Heath Violet, Windswept Wood, Cowslip, Forget-me-not, Sleep-Grass, Water Yellow Lily), 3 (VU) – vulnerable (Lungwort Dark, Corydalis, Coltsfoot, Carnation, Goose Onion or Yellow Snowdrop, Lily of the Valley, Yellow Wood Anemone).

Conclusion. 1. Most plants growing in Pushchino surroundings which were found by us are included in Red Book of plants of Moscow Region: 12 species from 15. 2. The plants of 2 species are in first category (CR) - critically endangered, 6 species are in the second category (EN) - endangered, 4 – in the third group (VU) - vulnerable because of the environmental problems and thoughtless interference of people in nature.
