Since September 2009 in the kindergarten №1820 began an experiment for creating a system of upbringing and education of the preschool children called “Kindergarten as a model of an environmental culture”. During the development of the activity program “Nadezhda” we have created the programs of integrated lessons in order to solve the problems of children’s physical development as well as the speech correction problems. For example, working on the formation and the correction of the connected speech, sentence structure, speech expressions, ability to listen to one’s pronunciation and the ability to coordinate one’s movements and speech becomes much more effective in a sign of positive emotions caused by exciting physical exercises. Matching music and integration of well-known and loved fairy-tail stories into children’s activities helps to keep the children’s attention and make them more willing to learn. For example, using the “Beaver builders” scenario we can solve a wide range of problems: (1) Introduce the children to one of the world’s largest rodents; (2) Teach them to understand the connection between animal’s appearance, habitat and life habits; (3) Lessen the psychological inertness and encourage the systematic thinking; (4) Help children to develop the compassion, kindness and logical thinking; (5) Teach them to generalize, compare and observe; (6) Develop their intellect and curiosity; (7) Continue to improve their dolphin-swimming skills, exhale into the water, dive; (8) Nurture an interest in nature and form an ecological mindset; (9) Teach them to love and care about nature; (10) Let children understand that the nature is a home to us all. As a preparation to the lesson children watch the movie about the life of beavers, engage in conversations with their teachers. In a swimming-pool, following the coach’s instructions, children play the roles of the beavers: using the sticks, planks and branches in the swimming pool they build and demount the dam and beaver huts, play as happy beavers. Educational tasks for learning different diving and swimming techniques, including synchronous and relay swimming successfully interweave with a scenario of the integrated lesson “Visiting the Boldly Buzzing Fly”. Accompanying the integrated physical lessons with a voice communication, kindergarten specialists help children to activate the necessary words in their vocabularies.
