During the twentieth century, Russia has repeatedly provided the field of painful social experiments. Therefore, for our country still relevant question: What is capitalism? Than it is for a particular society - economic development level, the diversity of political life, the expression of personal freedom - or another redistribution of property? Description and analysis of the specific Russian capitalism is the answer to one of the major challenges of time.

For 10 years, read RosZITLP course "History of entrepreneurship in Russia." The author examines the role of museums and, in particular, the Museum of entrepreneurs, philanthropists and benefactors in the formation of a technical college students. Said special course is interdisciplinary, historical, and economic issues, and teach it to, based on extensive factual material.

The main concept of the museum exhibition - no property there is no freedom. On the exact observation of the Museum Director E. Kalmykova no accident in the Russian language sounds the same as the concept of Good, as a manifestation of humanity - and as "marital property". The most important idea of all the exposure - the rationale "nationality" of Russian capitalism, its "peasant" origin. The paradox of Russian capitalism is that its main actors are not the traditional merchant class, not the nobility of his preferences, obtained from Catherine II, namely the farmers, both free and serf. Most clearly demonstrated that the textile industry created almost exclusively come from "the village". Until 1917 it was the textile industry, created by former "peasants" on the basis of their own forces, resources and free competition, has been the locomotive of the Russian economy.

This museum shows what were the creators of the Russian economy, and what they should be now. So laid the foundations of business ethics, which has been lost over the twentieth century, and yet can not be revived.

Thus, the role of the Museum of entrepreneurs, philanthropists and benefactors of much more than stated in its title. Its activities contribute to the understanding of Russia today the most important settings: History through human activities. People, not the state - the creators of the economy, culture, way of life. Without the awareness that we create so we need civil society.
